Gift Guide For Photographers
Hey everyone! Welcome back to another episode of “Oh Shoot” with your host Cassidy Lynne. It’s Thanksgiving week, and I’m totally feeling the holiday spirit this year! Loving all the cozy vibes, blankets, and warm drinks. Today’s episode is all about my photographer holiday gift guide, perfect for both photographers wanting to drop gift hints and those shopping for photographer friends. I have some big news to share! The news? Sony’s release of their 28-70mm f2.0 lens is something I’ve been dreaming about forever! I was lucky enough to test it pre-release (thanks Sony team!), and let me tell you, it’s absolutely game-changing.
Being able to zoom while maintaining f2.0 literally almost made me cry during a client shoot!! At around $2,899, it’s definitely a premium gift to add to your Christmas list, but totally worth it if you’re a prime lens lover. Also, I’m super excited about a fun personal project a Wicked-inspired photoshoot! Having just seen the musical on Broadway in September, I’m inspired by both Galinda’s pink aesthetic and the darker elements. I’ve got a blonde wig ready to go (first-time wig experience!) and I’m doing this purely for fun and content creation, not client work. Charlie’s helping me shoot it tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out! So let’s get into the gift guide!
Gifts For Photographers
The Ray Ban Meta Glasses are super popular with photographers this holiday season! At $299, they’re totally worth it! I’ve had them since early this year and love them. They sell out fast, especially the clear ones, so if you want them, tell someone soon!
if you’re a photographer or you have a friend who’s a photographer, I think this is a great gift idea if you don’t want to spend more than $100. I think it’s a fun and goofy gift!
Sandisk Drive or Samsung Drive
Another great gift idea is a hard drive. I know it sounds kind of boring but they are in a good price range. Two of my favorites are the Sandisk SSD and Samsung SSD Drives.
Sandisk SD card or Lexar SD card
Again SD cards are a great gift for a photographer. every photographer needs them, and they need to be replaced every once in a while so it is good to always have extra ones. Plus they are not that expensive, the 64 GB are about $25
I have one and it is soo amazing! not having to be hunched over is amazing. This small detail makes a huge difference in my posture while editing. it’s around $20 so it’s a great gift for someone!
This is a really fun gift for those more artistic and fun shots. This panel is around $50 – $60 it is more on the expensive side but it is worth it. This is something good to ask for if you are looking to do more fun and creative shoots!
Gifts For Photographers
I usually link everything on my amazing, but I couldn’t find it! It was sold out everywhere! It ranges between $300 – $500. This is more on the expensive side, but it is a really nice flash!
This is a GREAT thing to ask for! It’s more on the expensive side but it is a great bag, I bring my bag EVERYWHERE! There is no better bag to travel with than this bag.
I have a 16-inch laptop and it is hard to find bags that fit that size. They usually go to 15 inch! But I found this one and I LOVE it, I use it all the time! And it is around $50!
This is a GREAT thing to add to your list! It’s great for on the go, you can fit your lens and your camera. It holds enough for you to travel with and it feels safe. It really protects your gear!
Aftershoot AI Editing Subscription
I know it sounds stupid, but sometimes you got to ask for that! You need to be like, hey gift me an editing subscription ahaha!
If you have been eyeing presets for a while, this is you sign to ask for it! Plus it is easy beaucse there is no shipping, it’s perfect!
Gift Guide For Photographers
This is a great thing to ask for! Film cameras are not to expensive, depending on the one you get. This is not the exact one that i just got, but it is very very similar!
I used this camera for a very long time, mine actually broke so I’m really sad. But I love this camera! It’s so fun and vintage and it is cheap. If you have been looking for a camera to carry around this is a great option!
I know that this camera is sold out most of the time, I know it’s expensive. But it is a really good camera! Everyone loves it for a good reason, so if you have someone that wants to splurge on you added to your list!
This is a digital camera that I use a lot. I feel like I do compare it to the G7x pretty closely. I would say they are pretty similar. There’s a built in flash, you can shoot in raw manual. It is a great camera and it is around the same price!
If you love to be organized, this is an amazing thing to ask for! It is a jewelry organizer but you can use it for you SD cards! And it is around $10.
This is a really fun gift! This goes on the hot shoe of your camera and I think it’s helpful for when you are shooting. You can keep it in your car or your bag.
